This explains when you can cancel a job, how funds paid through the platform are handled, and the process for requesting a refund when something goes wrong.

1. When you can cancel a job
- Before a technician accepts the job (status “waiting for a technician”) — the customer can cancel immediately at no cost.
- After a technician has accepted, but before work has started (status “accepted”) — the customer can still cancel, stating a reason (e.g. changed your mind, price didn't match, found another technician), at no cost.
- After work has started (status “in progress”) — the customer can no longer cancel directly in the app. If you have a genuine need to stop the job, please contact the technician directly or notify our staff via the report a problem page, so staff can review and handle the cancellation and any related funds.
- A technician can also cancel a job they've accepted (e.g. an unavoidable conflict), and our staff can cancel a job at any status when necessary — for example, if unusual conduct is found.
2. What happens to funds already paid if a job is cancelled
When you pay through the platform (not cash or a direct transfer outside the app), funds land directly in the platform administrator's own bank account - no external payment provider is involved - and are recorded as “pending review” until our staff manually verifies and confirms the transfer; they are not paid out to the technician until the job is complete. For the full mechanics, see the secure payments page.
- If a job is cancelled before work starts and a payment has already been made, the funds are refunded to the customer.
- If cancelled after work has started, or where there is a dispute about workmanship quality, our staff will review the facts before deciding whether a full refund, partial refund, or no refund is appropriate for that case.
- Our staff transfers refunds back to you manually via bank/PromptPay, to the account you provide.
3. Jobs that have already been completed
Once a job is complete and the customer has confirmed it, funds are paid out to the technician (minus the platform fee) and the transaction is considered final. If a workmanship problem is found afterward, please use the warranty process instead of requesting a cancellation/refund under this page.
4. How to request a refund
- Cancel the job using the “Cancel job” button on the job detail page (if it's still in a status that allows self-service cancellation).
- If you can't cancel it yourself, or there's a dispute over funds, report it via the report a problem page, including the job number and details.
- Our staff will review and process the refund through our payment provider. Funds typically return to the original payment method within the timeframe set by the payment provider (which depends on your bank/card).
